INNOVATION IN THE ALPMED EUROREGION

 

Cooperation projects between clusters

This event was organized by the Chambers of Commerce and industry of the Alpmed region, especially The Chambre Régionale de Commerce de Rhône Alpes and Unioncamere Piemonte was held in Brussels; rue du Trône on the 13th of July.


The objective of this event was to invite clusters partners involved in European program of innovation to share their experience with others European clusters as well as with European civil servants, representative of European regions.


The program consisted of short presentations of 20 minutes length each.


Jacque Bianchi, recently elected President of the chambers of Commerce of the Alpmed Euroregion welcome the participants insisting on the interest to work together in a zone which encompasses PACA, Liguria, Piedmont, Rhône Alps and Val d’Aoste, which will rank it at the 17th economical world place with a GDP 500 billion euros.


The core conference based on the innovation in various technical fields tackled with following topics:

Laurence Minne, from Rhône Alps Region, Massimo Da Via from Environment Park and Michel Deflache from Tennerdis were invited to speak about PITER projects.


They pointed out that this program has to commit above all with needs and expectations of the business sector in order to be in capacity to target the right devices to foster innovation and entice research centers to work closely with the industrial sector. They also insisted on the need to conceive what could be the financial tools which would enable the actions contained in the future JAP to be implemented. Their aim is completely directed to enhance the economical capacity of the renewable Energy in the two region and to maintain and develop a good level of employment.


This initiative was crowned with success with more than 110 attendees. During the Question Answers time, PITER was promoted as a very interesting example of close collaboration between two regions. Massimo da Via and Michel Deflache were asked about several topics, regarding competition between clusters and fundings.
