The PITER project was presented at Hannover Messe 2010

Hannover Messe, the annual trade fair of industrial technology, took place in Germany this year from 19th to 23rd April. The event is the world’s leading showcase that every year gathers visitors interested in new products and innovative approaches.

This 2010 edition has revealed to be a very precious opportunity to meet more than 4.800 exhibitors from all over the world (the countries represented were 64) and to exchange ideas and solutions on sustainable growth interlinked with business. The focus this year has been innovation, sustainability, and efficiency. In particular it’s been of paramount importance the specific interest shown towards sustainable energy.

PITER attended this event too, at the Regione Piemonte stand, presenting the first results of its project on renewable energy. The two-year project, financially sustained by European funding, aims to reduce CO2 emissions and promote cooperation between the two regional clusters (Région Rhône Alpes and Regione Piemonte), based on sharing common experiences and best practise. In order to achieve this ambitious objective it’s necessary to develop a synergy amongst research, technology and industrial activities, to make the renewable energy market stronger and to encourage the development and the practice of clean technologies. This plan covers many aspects of our society: environmental, economic, technological, political and social factors are involved.
Hannover Messe has been an excellent chance for PITER to gain visibility in an international context and enlarge the collaboration with new actors of the sector.
